180/365 Pusing myself . . .

I'm almost half way done with this 365 project and today, I must confess, I've had to push really hard to post. Not only did I have to push myself, I had to PUSH my subject and can't you tell by the delight in her face? Thanks honey, mommy really appreciates it.

The other thing that I'm working on is Off camera flash - me and some friends (Elli & Eric) are doing Strobist Bootcamp assignments. I have studio lights but these are smaller and more portable. I used the SB800 behind the subject and the studio light to camera right.
It's not the look I was going for so I'll keep practicing.

I think it came out well. What is she holding? One of these days, I'll have lights and learn all this stuff, too.

I like the light on this shot. I think you did a great job on that. The thing I would change is her position. Have her turned at more of an angle to the camera, maybe with her head tipped...although given the expression you got I would say that might be pressing your luck.

Nice work!

Oh, I did get the part I needed to get all my flashes working, but that shot you commented on was natural light.

Sandra, like we did before, the strobist flickr group is an amazing source of motivation. Many, many, many good pics there, and almost all of them describe thier light setup in detail, a few even post setup shots. Good way to get ideas
