D-334 Christmas Icicles

The daily shoot DS381 Use vignetting in a photograph today. Either add it in post (easier) or do it in camera via lens or lighting (harder).

Continuing the Christmas theme

Yesterday's image I used a flash, today only the available light on the tree.

D-333 Peak into my world

or at least a peak into my living room.

#ds380 The Golden Ratio has been used in art for millennia. Use or illustrate the Golden Ratio in a photograph today.

The fact that you can see my whole living room in that bulb was a nice surprise. I was concentrating on the Christmas tree bokeh.

Peak into my world
In 36 days and I would have completed the second year of this project. I have accomplished the goal that I set out to do - Improve my photography. I feel pretty satisfied that I have accomplished that, there are several more goals that I still need to accomplish. Tonight I need to spend sometime brainstorming and putting pen to paper (away from the computer), to see what unravels.

Do you set yearly goals? Do you track your progress throughout the year?
The end of the calender year and the beginning of the new year always get me to writing things down. I do however constantly update my goals. Is there a specific time of year that you decide to revamp your goals?

D-295 Fight lik a Girl in Pink

The daily shoot: #ds340 October is breast cancer awareness month. Make a photo of something pink to support the cause.

Here's to my best friend Flora - Fight like a Girl!
Hope you are feeling better after your chemo treatment. Love ya!
Fight Like a Girl!

This started out as a selfie, but I was trying some jumping shots and just couldn't get the focus spot on (my studio lights only allow SS125 the highest) So David came to help and then I decided on this image.
The editing credit goes to the ever talented Khalila. My youngest daughter has so much talent she doesn't even realize. So thanks to all parities involved for you assistance tonight.

I will be spending a couple of days on her site trying to read all her post.

D-216 Keeping the Vision clear

I've been reading Vision Mongers by David DuChemin and it's been very inspirational.
He's constantly reminding me to never lose sight of my dream. Sometimes the busyness of life clutters my sight.

I love girly girls and this one is definitely a girly girl!
She loves tea party's and dressing up. We had another Tea Party.

Tea Time with a Princess

Don't forget it's Twitter Tuesday at Tasra Mar

Also half way through my Rangefinder magazine. Talk about inspiration!

D-210 Texture

Flowers on linen texture. It's been a while since I used textures thought I'd try one today.
The Daily shoot: How does your garden grow? Make a photo of something growing in your or someone else's garden today.
I'm sure these grew in "someones" garden, just not mine.
Flowers on a canvas
Day 5 using my 70-200 mm (Pam's challenge to me) I might not be able to stop using this lens!
Today is Twitter Tuesday. Make sure to visit Tasra Mar and see what other photographers are up to.

Day 200-202

Day 202! I have a feeling it will be down hill from here.

We painted the computer room this weekend so I had no internet access all weekend. Here is my catch up post.

Saturday's daily shoot assignment: Make a photo that uses negative space to good effect. Give your subject room to breathe, and balance it within the frame.

D-121 Fight Like A Girl Campaign

Tasra Mar's Thursday Challenge is "color"
Ever think of how one color can represent so much. Definitely today's color is Pink. Not just hot pink buy any shade of pink automatically brings to mind "Breast Cancer" awareness. My color today is "PINK"

Flora needed an updated shot for the Fight Like A Girl campaign (raising funds for the cause). She got her hair cut so that she can start getting used to the idea of losing her hair. This is My girl. She's strong, she's courageous. I don't think I could handle all of what she has had to handle with the poise and grace that she has over the past month and a half. I love you Flora. We are with you all the way.
Fight fight fight
We had so much fun shooting today.
Awareness
Here's a silly one of her and David
