Picking flowers . . .146/365

I HAD crocuses in my yard :} Isabella took care of them for me. They are sitting in water inside right now.

Her mommy is out of town doing her army duty. She's been gone for a week and Miss Isabella misses a lot.
I picked her up today and she hung out with us. We ate dinner, colored, tried to ride her bike, walked, played in the leaves and she picked flowers. Then she had a nice long bubble bath, snack and a movie. By the time I got her in her car seat and taking her home she was knocked out. I was able to get her out of her car seat in her house, take of her coat and hat and she didn't even wake up. LOL She says "HI MOMMY" She misses you but she's doing really good.

Oh yeah I was trying the "flash fill" technique but I don't think it worked very well. It was lit nicely outside but I thought I try this. Not sure it was the look I was going for - especially those flash catchlights!

I wish I had fill flash advice for you, but no luck here either! Sounds like a really busy evening! :)

These are cute pictures of her! I'm sorry she "took care of" your crocuses! LOL! As for fill flash, still figuring that one out myself. Looks pretty good to me though! :)

She's beautiful. And I'm so proud of her mommy!

I think the way to get bigger catchlights using fill flash is to diffuse the flash. Not sure on that, and I haven't tried it with my flash on my camera, but I get pretty nice catchlights shooting through an umbrella, so I would think some sort of diffuser would help. Our DIY expert would probably point you right to some homemade diffusers. But since he's busy, I'll just tell you to Google it. :-)

You are such a wonderful grandmother! What fun memories you give her! As for the fill flash, every time I've used it it's been too harsh. So, I'd GUESS (because I'm by far no expert) to dial it down or diffuse it like Elli said. I'd like to know the trick though!
