D-306 Create Balance

The daily shoot #351
The word balance has many meanings, literal and abstract. Pick one and make a photograph today.
■“Difficulties are opportunities to better things; they are stepping-stones to greater experience… When one door closes, another one always opens; as a natural law it has to, to balance.”

~ Brian Adams Quotes

Creating Balance
I was trying to bring the feel of the ocean inside.

With winter rolling in our daylight hours are shorter and shorter. Pretty soon it will be dark by the time I get home from work so I'll have to get more creative with indoor images.

Nice, balanced composition. It kind of feels peaceful looking at it.

I *LOVE* this interpretation of balance! The blue background is so calming, and the balanced rocks look very stable - it doesn't give me a feeling of precariousness at all. Beautiful light, too! Just an awesome photo!

Or perhaps this is cairn to guide you through the dark winter?

Nicely done, the blue background does give a feel of the ocean.

You are always so good at these compositions, I feel it is not a challenge to you anymore. Having said that, it is quite a stylish shot. Nicely done.

Nice textures in the stones, the wood and the background. But the main thing I think about when looking at the photo is: do the stones really manage to stay balanced by themselves?
