More snow . . . 95/365

Look what I got up to again this morning . . . more snow! Yay. No it's not noise in this picture it's lots of snow coming down. This pine tree sits across the street from our home. Used my P&S again today.

No one can look at a pine tree in winter without knowing that spring will come again in due time. Frank Bolles

Of winter's lifeless world each tree Now seems a perfect part;Yet each one holds summer's secret Deep down within its heart.

Aw winter . . . 94/365

Sometimes our fate resembles a fruit tree in winter. Who would think that those branches would turn green again and blossom, but we hope it, we know it.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Welcome to my winter garden. Care to have a seat?

Yesterday was a beautiful, balmy 30 degrees and sunny. So, during my lunch hour, I washed my little car, got all that yucky salt and dirt off of it. I gave it a quick wax and wiped the windows down and sprayed the tires. Today, we are in the mist of a winter storm warning. See all that "smoke" looking stuff? It's snow blowing sideways. It's really cold and I'm so looking forward to spring.

These were taken with a Nikon Point and shoot camera.

It's just a picture . . . 93/365

Can I add one more thing to my schedule? Yes I can. Here is one of the things I worked on today. It's a loom. I'm making something. LOL
Sorry, I ran out of ideas and time for taking a picture today, so there it is a little piece of my life.

Baby I 92/100

We went to a Superbowl party at a friends house. It was so much fun and what an exciting game - way to go STEELERS.

This is baby I. He's 4 weeks old. He was such a sweetie. What do you think of the conversion. My B/W's are usually very contrasty and I wanted something a bit softer.

Look at this sweetie 91/365

She's gonna be a heart-breaker for sure. Ms. A was very animated while telling me about her adventures at Disnesys Ice Capades - it's where she got that hat from.

All window lighting, D300, SS100, F2.8 and ISO 1000. MAN! I was shooting dramatic lighting the last 3 days and I forgot to check my ISO setting. You think I would have already learned this lesson but NO . . . I did it AGAIN!

More Dramatic lighting 90/365

I've been gone all day - work and bunco. Just made it home 30 minutes before midnight. Only had a few minutes to take a picture and since I had a couple of inquiries about Dave's tattoo's I thought I'd try to document them. One at at time. This one is his fantasy girl - nope it's not me. I know it's hard to tell from the picture but it takes up most of the right side of his right leg almost from the bend of the knee area to to top of his ankle. Lighting used was my favorite - flash light.

Always on the search . . . .89/365

Although I spend a lot more time on the computer than he does - he looks more intense than I do. LOL
He's tired after working a double.
I wanted to use dramatic lighting which I love and I wanted to practice my conversion to B/W. I'm open to any suggestions.
