Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad Marek

Happy 52 Anniversary
Wow that's a lot of years! I keep asking them what their secret is.
These are the beautiful roses that my father in law gave his lovely bride.

Here's the card I made them
The paper is Club Scrap the lace is vintage and the butterfly I made from an old book that was ruined. I sewed a couple of pages together and tore the shape of a butterfly.

Happy Birthday Laura!

Happy Birthday Laura!
Laura is married to Dave's nephew. I guess that makes her the niece in law. She's a great young lady.
We went to a cookout/birthday party at their house today. Had so much fun.

216/365 Elephants!

My daughter is always looking for activities for Isabella to do . . .
She came across this small circus in a neighboring town, which for $5.00 she could ride an elephant. She invited me to come along - so friday night this is what we did.

My daughter sees it as the opportunity of a lifetime and it was also the first animal word Isabella learned . . .I mean we will never, ever forget the first trip to the zoo and how she yelled "EEEEEEEEPHANT" all afternoon, really cute.

Then she got to ride a pony - she looks like an old pro. Maybe I can get Wilky to give her some tips. ?.

We had a really nice time and it was such a small venue there were no crowds to fight no parking issues and very inexpensive. That's really different from the big circus' in the big city.

213/365 Cards

Before photography became my obsession I scrapbooked. That's what lead me to the path of learning photography.
This weekend, we went camping so I was away from my beloved computer with the Elements software and all of my pictures. So, I took some of my scrapbooking supplies to play around with. I made several cards - which I haven't taken pictures of yet. Playing around with the papers and the supplies got me motivated to create some more. I frequent this blog called Use Your Stash
that lead me to one of the contributors of that blog Jingle
Now the point of that blog is to get us to use our "stash" paper crafters know what I'm talking about.
Jingle has this awesome tutorial on making six cards in an hour. I made six cards using my "stash" it took an hour. Next time I think I can get them done in less than an hour.
So my picture of the day is my 6 cards. Thanks Jingle for the tutorial and the inspiration.

I used bright and colorful papers, buttons, ribbons and embellishments because I plan on getting rid of them for summer.

210 - 212 Playing catch up

Playing catch up here and not necessarily in the exact order, but there are images for every day.
Sunset from the deck of the "camper"

This picture was taken as we were driving in the truck, from the side window. The deer ran and then just stood there and watched us drive by.

Remnants of time gone by. An Amish Buggy just decaying away.

an old Plymouth - they don't make the bodies like they used to.

My in-laws spent the weekend with us at the campground. We had so much fun.
Here my father in law borrows a lawn mower to cut our grass.
I like the long road behind him in this image.
