I see your dilemma. They are both great images. I am curious to know about the bokeh of the highlights at the top of the first image. How'd you do that :)
Although I really like the first image, I would have chosen the second one. The lighter coloured part at the bottom of the first throws the image a bit off for me.
I have a solution to your problem though; stop taking more than one really good image a day :)

I love your bokeh lights in the first one, but I love the simplicity of the second. I guess I wouldn't be any help if you wanted me to choose! :-)
Ah! Nikhil has a great solution! But that's not likely to happen - you can't help taking multiple really good images.
Nice take on TDS:Brown assignment. I much prefer the second one - may be it's real simple but well executed.
I like that you have given this pitcher the glamour treatment with the lighting and bokeh. Its an interesting twist.
