Tranquililty . . . 77/365

"When we are unable to find tranquility within ourselves, it is useless to seek it elsewhere."
Francois de La Rochefoucauld

This is part of Lake Michigan. I had to walk through 2 - 3 feet of snow to get today's shot but it was well worth it. It was so peaceful on the beach today and this tree was obviously uprooted in a past storm. It is now as smooth as driftwood. I found it a beautiful site.

David waited in the car for me because I had to walk to it and he wanted to know what took so long. So long? "how long was I gone?" Apparently over 20 minutes in the frigid weather. Well, when I start taking pictures I lose track of time - LOL.

Loooove how you took both pictures. So beautiful! Ditto to lost track of time, same way when Mo would say same thing come on how long.

Glad you make it by water to take some cool pictures.

That is really really beautiful. My husband would have been honking and calling my cell phone - he does when I'm holding him up more than 3 minutes. ;)

So beautiful!! I'd have gotten the same honking/calling reaction. The shots were worth the wait though!

Beautiful! You're right that time flies - I've often stepped out of the car for "a shot" and come back to discover it's been 15 minutes or more.

I do that, too! :) I'm glad it's not just me. LOL.

I love the 2nd shot the best, but they are both wonderful!
