D-163 Garden bokeh

Another daily shoot challenge.
Today's challenge is "Shoot wide open today. Make a creative photo that uses a shallow depth of field to good effect. #ds214"

Garden bokeh
I must confess that shallow depth of field and bokeh is no longer a challenge to me. So instead of the usual bokehliciousness I get with flowers and fields I thought I try a different subject. My Chinese Lantern with lights in the background.

This is an awesome shot. Wonderful texture on the lantern and great bokeh.

Great shot. I love the trail of bokeh dots. It great contrast between the lights and the Chinese lantern.

I agree - shallow depth of field isn't a challenge anymore - but I didn't even think to make it more of a challenge. Great work!
