More bokeh and Light

The daily shoot today is: The Daily shoot
#ds395 Yellow is great at grabbing attention. Make a photograph today where the primary subject is yellow in color

Yellow

I'm still feeling under the weather but I was not happy with my first set of shots, or maybe it's because the subject is just blah . . .
So I pulled out the flash and shot through the umbrella - The bouquet of flowers I got last week is well past it's prime. Time to get rid of.

Under the weather

Time to let go

-sniff sniff- Those flowers look so sad now. But the photos are gorgeous! I love the bokeh and the way that the subject matter itself mirrors your own feelings at the moment. Hope you get better soon!

Also, that's a really neat background in the first photo. What is it?

More of those moonbeams. I like! I am going to have to do some experimenting with the umbrella and flashlight too. I like your first shot.

Your bokeh is fabulous tonight.

I am particularly fond of the flowers past their prime.

I agree the first shot isn't brilliant, but again I have to point out that what isn't brilliant for you is still pretty good. I like the texturing of pattern in the background. The colours work well together.

Of the 2 shots of the flower I prefer the second. By reducing the size of the flower in the frame, you emphasized the subject in a way that didn't work in the first one, A very compelling photo.

Beautiful! I like past their prime flowers - something so fragile about them.
Hope you get to feeling better. We're all battling colds here and it just gets old after 5 days....

You definitely know how to make your shots interesting by using bokeh.

Background on the first shot is interesting.

I love the bokeh dots in the last shot! What is the background in the first image? I like that mottled look.

You're doing beautiful work, and your dedication to this project is inspiring. Take good care of yourself!

Hey thanks for your comments, I really find inspiration and joy in them.
The background in the first shot is paper with a pattern on it.

I love that you gave these dying flowers the glamour treatment - there is something quite poetic about that
