D-362 The common object

No light today for outdoor shots, I was just bored. When that happens I take a common/ordinary object and try to find a different spin on it. I took these macro shots. What do you do when you are bored with your images?

Macro shot, used a soft box and the budget on a studio shared a few post back.

the colors got a little funny after transferring them to flickr

and a bonus:
While putting my Christmas stuff away I thought this one deserved a second look.
She's pretty old, but holding on really good.
One last look

This is a great article for sources of Inspiration for photographers.

I'd say you did an extraordinary job with "ordinary" objects! Very kool, Sandra!

I love the light on both of these! What is that first one? A perfume bottle maybe? The ornament looks great!

Nicely done. You are really good with this type of lighting, I would not be able to distinguish this from any magazine shot.

I would have chosen the bonus shot as the shot though. But that is just because I like a bit of age and experience in my subjects :)

I built a white box after seeing you post and it came out well.

When I'm bored I get the macro lens out to get shots I'd not normally take.

Thanks for the inspiration link, there are some great suggestions!

Lovely shots. As others commented excellent lighting on these shots. If I were to pick one, I prefer the bonus shot of these too...reminds me of Pepsi logo with lovely colors ;)

I ended up shooting smoke and was so disappointed.

Smoke was always my fall back!
