the watch is compliments of Miss Isabella. We had dinner at Mc D's and that was her free gift. She got an extra one so she gave it to me. I think I'll wear it to work tomorrow.

Tweaked the image in p.s. with saturation and contrast.

What's the burning desire inside of you. What is it that consumes your free time, that gnaws at you. What is it that comes to mind when you are deep asleep? Your dreams. Are you living your dream life? Are you at least working on your dream life? What is your burning desire and what are you doing to nourish that?

D-100! Do What you Love . . .

WoooHoo! Day 100 and still going strong.
Some treat my honey bought me. Yum.

Here is another attempt at OCF strobist style. Like I said before my inspiration is Dustin Diaz - I have a long way to go learning this strobist stuff.
Nikon D-300, 50mm, F5, 1/125s, ISO 200, flash to camera left and a slave 6 feet away facing background with green gel.

That's what photography has become to me. There is a hunger to learn more, a desire to perfect this art. There is alot of work involved but I love every moment of this art.

I came across this website today - Tasra Mar profiled it on her blog a couple of months ago, I just saw it today. He's so down to earth and real. I loved his interview. You can see it here:

Smoke project
The smoke is from an incense the color is from a gel that I put on a speed light, which is the only lighting used in these images.





Dave sees the figure of a woman with a hat on this one. Do you see it?

Just learning this was my first attempt.
Dave saw how the images were turning out and he's always wanted a portrait with that type of lighting so we experimented some more

D-71 Friday Challenge - Lucky Charm or Green

This is a little wood carving was made by an old work mate. His hobby was carving wood. He made all kinds and I planned on getting a collection but after he retired I didn't know how to get a hold of him. I even ordered the police officer from him but like I said we lost contact.
Here is my green for the Friday challenge.



Background are some crystal glasses with Christmas lights in and around them. I also used a green gel light to light the background. To light the little guy I used Nikon Flash off camera, set it at TTL and balanced fill flash (learned that reading the Nikon D300 field guide) My true inspiration of coarse is Dustin Diaz.

D-70 A sweet treat

This is a sweet treat my supervisor got us today. Very fresh and tasty. It was awefully nice of him.

It's been a long day and I'm glad I made my post today (barely) Looking forward to the weekend.
