D-362 The common object

No light today for outdoor shots, I was just bored. When that happens I take a common/ordinary object and try to find a different spin on it. I took these macro shots. What do you do when you are bored with your images?
Daily Shoot

Macro shot, used a soft box and the budget on a studio shared a few post back.

The daily shoot and more lighting glass . . .
The color of the day is orange. Make a photograph that is full of orange today.

I read an artcle on lighting liquids here


and while I was at it I thought I'd try the black and white backgrounds again. This time the light came through the glass. Yesterdays I only had light in the background.

D-304 Black rim lighting

A totally uninspired, photographically speaking, day. Just couldn't come up with any ideas for a photo today so I tried Rim lighting on a reflective subject. "law of angle of indicence equals angle of reflection" . . . I kind of get the concept but am having problems executing it. I think I might be missing a light, which I refuse to buy.

D-253 The daily shoot the number 9 & 6 and Hands

No portrait work today - today I followed the daily shoot. Two days worth to be exact.
The daily shoot:
"Make a photograph with either a 9 or 6 (components of today's date) in it represented in some way and post it today."

We've had these old milk quarts for a while. I happened to turn them over and there were the numbers.

The bottles were placed on a light box (light is underneath the subject).

A person's hands can tell a story. Take a picture of someones hands today.


My mom is one of the hardest working people I know. She doesn't let much slow her down. She loves doing yard work.

D246 - D248 Do the lines seem a bit blurry sometimes?

Do the "lines" sometimes seem a bit blurry?
I think it's time to revamp my goals and business plan.
Technically this image is totally incorrect, but I did it intentionally.
